Newly painted dog house |
September 2005
| As of mid-September,
the new building is progressing nicely. Here we see the main superstructure
in place. |
| The
Current Situation:
Currently
BARL cats are cared for at local veterinary clinics until they
are adopted because we don't have a suitable facility. Our dogs
are housed in an aging facility that is badly overcrowded. The
pens are open to the weather and become mud puddles when it rains.
The animals deserve a clean, safe building where they can live
until adopted.
|
The League has committed
to build a new facility for cats and dogs.
A local business person has donated land for the building. This project
is a leap of faith, and we are making progress. You can help
us change the future for homeless and abandoned animals in our area.
Become a sponsor and buy a yard of concrete
to build the foundation ($65). Or buy a
memorial brick engraved with your name for $50. Send your donations
to P.O. Box 3477, Brookhaven MS 39603. For more information, send us
a message.
We're making great
progress on the new BARL facility. We now have detailed drawings
of our new home. Click on any of the images below and a new window
will open with a larger version and detailed information.
