7th Annual “Golfing for the Animals” golf tournament a success!

The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League (BARL) raised over $5,000 at its recent golf tournament. Placing first in the tournament were L to R: Richard Furr, P.K. Furr, Tommy Jolly and Doug Bullock (not pictured).

Golfers from around the area recently participated in the Brookhaven Animal Resuce League's 7th Annual "Golfing for the Animals" tournament. Placing second in the tournament were L to R: Gary Garland, Carrie Jones, Elsa Foley and Sam Jones.

The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League recently held its 7th Annual "Golfing for the Animals" tournament at the Brookhaven Country Club. Placing third in the 4-man scramble were L to R: Baron Jones, Eric Smith, Anthony Kent and Raymond Steele.

  The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League is a non-profit, no-kill, all-volunteer animal welfare group that arranges shelter and basic veterinary services for abandoned and orphaned animals until they can be placed with families. No animals are killed just because they are unwanted. The Brookhaven Animal Rescue League provides medical care, food, and housing for these animals. The League also seeks to reduce the number of unwanted animals through education regarding the value of spaying and neutering. All League animals are spayed or neutered.
