BARL is so fortunate in that we get the majority of our
pet food donated. Every once in a while we have to
purchase food; however, it is not often.
The only exception is Purina Puppy Chow, which we
do have to purchase because we just don't get enough of this particular food donated. We feed our BARL babiesPurina Puppy Chow to keep them healthy. Feeding them a consistent diet keeps their delicate tummies from being upset and provides them with the good nutrition puppies need. We encourage anyone who uses Purina to cut out the weight circle on the side of the food bag and send them in to BARL. We are able to turn these weight circles in to Purina to receive $7 checks we can use to help in our purchase of puppy food. Please mail the Purina Weight Circles to BARL, P.O. Box 3477, Brookhaven, MS 39603. Thanks in advance for helping our homeless puppies.
Can help raise money
for the animals
Visit BARL's booth at Vendor's Emporium in Brookhaven.
Your purchases generate funds for BARL's animals. Thanks
to Rhonda Deer for providing us with a spot in her unique shop.
We also need donations of items to sell in the booth. We're looking for small household décor items, jewelry, etc. These items need to be new or gently used. Drop your donations off at the Adoption Center.
Thanks in advance for your help.
The “I Care for Animals” Car Tag Program offers an opportunity for Mississippians to purchase a specialty license plate to support humane organizations and animal shelters.
The proceeds from these purchases go into a state animal care fund which is distributed to animal shelters and humane organizations around Mississippi to support their projects, with the main focus being spay and neuter programs.
BARL has received numerous grants from the "I Care" program and we encourage our supporters to purchase an "I Care" license plate.
In order to keep BARL operating, we must have money,
so yes, the dollars are import; however, other types of
donations are needed also. This page gives you ideas
on how you can help the animals in more ways than
just writing a check.
Of course, we hope you'll remember to write the checks sometimes. :)
Bring your used aluminum cans to BARL's Adoption Center and we'll turn them into cash for the animals. Please be sure to put your cans in large garbage bags. (Drink cans only, no pet food cans, etc.)
