Memorial DonationsOne of the ways to help BARL in its work for the animals is to make in memory and in honor donations to the League. Many people make a donation in memory of a loved one who has died. BARL sends a personally written card to the person designated, as well as a receipt to the donor. When someone loses a beloved pet, a donation to BARL is another way of letting that person know you understand their grief and sympathize in their loss. Again, BARL will send an acknowledgement card and receipt. Recently someone gave a donation in honor of a friend’s pet to the League. His owners were delighted when he received his card informing him of the gift in his honor. In honor gifts are appropriate in many situations. Know someone who has everything who has a birthday coming up? Why not make a donation to BARL in their name. It’s something any animal lover can appreciate, and any size is appropriate. Donations to the League should be mailed to P.O. Box 909, Brookhaven MS 39602. Please remember to include the name of the person in whose memory or honor the gift is made, to whom the acknowledgement card is to be sent, their address, and your address for the receipt.
